Biodynamic Craniosacral Therapy

This amazing therapy has it's roots in Osteopathy and the discoveries of Dr. William Garner Sutherland. Since then, the concepts have been refined and extended to become Biodynamic Craniosacral Therapy.  BCST involves a knowing touch by a skilled therapist with a calm, embodied presence. (That's me) The safety and non-doing approach of this approach is what enables the body to switch from it's fight and flight to a state of rest and repair. BCST has a focus on the wholeness and health already present in a persons system and works with this natural state to bring about the healing and change that is needed. This therapy can assist you in becoming a more embodied, present person, it can assist you to discover what your body is saying to you through it's challenges, and will increase your awareness and appreciation for who you are in your depths. With this new awareness and appreciation and connection to yourself, you will be assisted in delving deeper into your tensions, sensations, deeply held restrictions and unconscious patterns. Resolving what is being held in your system and allowing for more ease and choice in your everyday life.
BCST is also effective at supporting your body to resolve held and/or traumatic experiences (including birth trauma) that may have left you numb, dissociated, stressed, activated, lethargic, frozen or locked in a fight or flight pattern. Some of this trauma that is stuck in our bodies we aren't even aware of, actually, a lot of it...we become familiar with the results of trauma but we don't know what the source is. This can help you find the source.  Combining this body process with Wild Mind Wholing Work (See other page and the work of Bill Plotkin)  is a very powerful combination.  You do the deep work of welcoming lost parts of yourself home, the work of integration and you take your direction from what your body is leading you to discover. Amazing!
Who can benefit from this work? Everyone! On one level, we can all use more embodiment, the ability to really feel ourselves and listen to our body. Who else? People who know their body is talking to them...they have chronic injuries, tension, lack of breath, trauma and perhaps the sense that they are not connected to their bodies. You can experience BCST because you are seeking relief from symptoms of fatigue, stress, digestive problems, sleep problems, joint injuries or stiffness, or a general wish to improve your mental, physical and emotional well-being. There's no reason NOT to try it.
     So to sum up:
      -more connection and awareness
-better overall health and improved immunity
     -more energy
     -improved sleep and better digestion
-cope better with situations in life
     -improved body awareness
     -more relaxation
-and a great way to access and process what is stuck in your body, your undigested emotional material and who doesn't want that? Because that spells FREEDOM!!!!
